Livestock Agricultural Assistant
Summary
The University of Guelph is seeking a casual Livestock Agricultural Assistant for the Ontario Dairy Research Centre in Ariss, ON. This temporary part-time role involves all aspects of dairy cattle care, including feeding, milking, sanitation, health monitoring, and data entry using dairy management software. The assistant will also support researchers and veterinarians with animal handling and research projects, and operate/maintain various farm and milking equipment. The position requires 1.5 years of experience in a commercial dairy operation, strong communication skills, adaptability, computer literacy, and a valid Class G driver's license. Reliable transportation to the site is essential as public transit is not available.
