The University of Guelph's Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) is seeking an inaugural Champion Petfoods Veterinary Director for its Companion Animal Clinical Nutrition Program. This full-time, temporary position, made possible by Champion Petfoods, aims to advance veterinary education, clinical service, research, and program sustainability. The Director will provide leadership for the program's operations, budgets, and activities, and will collaborate with various OVC leaders to develop and evaluate clinical nutrition services, experiential learning opportunities, and courses. Key responsibilities include integrating nutrition activities with the OVC curriculum, facilitating learning for students and trainees, developing business plans and partnerships, and managing donor and industry relationships. The role requires a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, eligibility for veterinary registration in Ontario, specialized training or experience in companion animal nutrition, and at least five years of experience in the field. Demonstrated management, leadership, and communication skills are essential.
