Instructor Guard

Summary

The City of Waterloo is seeking Instructor Guards to provide quality swimming lesson instruction and lifeguarding services at its aquatic facilities. Responsibilities include ensuring a safe and clean pool environment, delivering excellent customer service, assisting with the operation of waterslides and pools, and acting in compliance with Ontario Health Regulations and other relevant legislation. Applicants must hold current LSS Instructors, Swim Instructors, National Lifeguard Service, and Standard First Aid & CPR C certifications. The minimum age for this role is 15. Successful candidates will need to pass an aquatic skills screening and provide a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check. The position requires a strong commitment to safety, customer service, and the principles of Reconciliation, Equity, Accessibility, Diversity, and Inclusion.
