Payroll Project Lead - Maximo
Summary
The City of Waterloo is seeking a Payroll Project Lead with Maximo experience for a temporary part-time contract position. This role will act as the project lead for the Trimble Unity Maintain Implementation project, focusing on the integration with PeopleSoft Time and Labour/Payroll. Responsibilities include coordinating with consultants and internal staff, leading functional design for capturing labour records, coordinating testing, and developing business processes for the Maximo Mobile project. The position also involves researching existing time capture methods for casual staff and potentially rolling out self-entry options. The ideal candidate will have a two-year post-secondary education in Business Administration/Accounting or a related field, with at least five years of experience in payroll and/or HRIS configuration. A current Payroll Manager certification from the Canadian Payroll Association is required, along with advanced knowledge of legislated payroll requirements, PeopleSoft (including Query/SQL), and Microsoft Excel/Word. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work in a confidential, deadline-driven environment are essential.
