Asphalt Operator/Winter Control Operator

Summary

The City of Guelph is seeking two experienced Asphalt Operators / Winter Control Operators to join their Public Works Department. This permanent, full-time role involves operating various heavy equipment, including front-end loaders, asphalt pavers, rollers, tractors, and snowplows, in live traffic and varying weather conditions. Key responsibilities include performing summer and winter road maintenance, ensuring public safety during winter control operations, and adhering to all safety regulations. The position requires a minimum Grade 12 education, one year of relevant operating experience, and a valid Class DZ driver's license with a good driving record. Experience with winter control operations, including plow and wing operation, is considered an asset.
