Project Manager
Summary
The University of Waterloo is seeking a Project Manager to join their Facilities - Design and Construction Services department. This permanent, full-time role reports to the Senior Director, Planning Design and Construction and is responsible for managing design, construction, renovation, and facility renewal projects for WUSA facilities and operations. The Project Manager will oversee multiple projects from inception to close-out, including budgeting, scheduling, design coordination, contract management, and commissioning. Key responsibilities include project planning and management, capital planning, continuous improvement of project management practices, and stakeholder/vendor relations. The role also involves integrating health, safety, accessibility, and regulatory requirements into project delivery. The ideal candidate will have a university degree or post-secondary diploma in a related field, with 4-6 years of progressive experience in project management within a multi-stakeholder environment. Experience in post-secondary, hospitality, retail, or non-profit sectors is an asset.
