Learning and Development Specialist

Summary

The University of Waterloo is seeking a Learning and Development Specialist to manage, design, deliver, and advance employee learning and development programming. This role, reporting to the Manager of Learning and Development within Human Resources, will collaborate with HR colleagues to ensure offerings are aligned and responsive to community needs. The Specialist will also coordinate and facilitate customized learning initiatives and support event planning. The position requires translating organizational needs into meaningful learning opportunities and working collaboratively within a complex university environment. The incumbent will contribute to service excellence, build relationships with diverse stakeholders, and demonstrate tact, discretion, and sound judgment in daily interactions with employees at all levels. A strong understanding of the University's context and the connection between employee experience, organizational effectiveness, and strategic goals is essential.
