Associate Director, Health Services

Summary

The University of Waterloo is seeking an Associate Director, Health Services (ADHS) for a temporary contract position ending March 31, 2028. This role reports to Campus Wellness senior leadership and is responsible for the strategic and operational management of Health Services, ensuring services align with professional standards and the Regulated Health Professions Act. The ADHS provides senior clinical leadership, assists with primary healthcare issues affecting students, and oversees the operationalization of clinical services. Key accountabilities include critical response management, human resources management (including recruitment and performance management of clinical staff), strategic direction, operationalization of services, leadership, service integration, and budget management. The position requires a Master's degree in a related field or equivalent, and a Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician with 5-8+ years of progressive management experience in a human care setting, preferably in post-secondary education. Strong strategic thinking, leadership, HR management, financial acumen, and communication skills are essential.
